Gaskamp serves as an agricultural research assistant in the Agricultural Division’s field plot operations program. He also serves as a wildlife and range consultant in the Agricultural Division’s consultation program.
He joined the Noble Foundation in 2007 after working as a hunting guide and gun-dog trainer on the King Ranch.
His areas of interest include wildlife habitat improvement, range management, white-tailed deer management, fisheries management, plant identification, prescribed fire and feral hog impacts. Gaskamp’s research on drop-nets as a potential tool for feral hog control led him to develop the BoarBuster® suspended corral trap.
He is a past-president of the Oklahoma Chapter of The Wildlife Society and a member of the Society for Range Management, Ducks Unlimited, National Wild Turkey Federation and Coastal Conservation Association.
Gaskamp grew up in Brenham, Texas.
